WHAT WE DO

OUR FERRET ROADSHOW

We'd like to introduce you to the family run Ferretworld Roadshow.

We are professional entertainers and the family have been doing the Ferretworld Roadshow for 21 years. We have 2 Roadshows on the road. Our sons, William (25) and Sam (22), usually do the re-enactment as it is something that they have brought to the business and it is a wonderful idea.

We therefore offer 2 different shows for 2023.

1) The Ferretworld Roadshow brings along either an exhibition unit or a marquee which is open all day with a member of staff on duty to give information and let the public have an up close look at ferrets (we are insured for handling). There are information boards alongside the display too.
In addition we do 2 arena displays in an arena - be that your Countryside Arena or our own stand alone arena - lasting approximately 30 to 40 minutes depending on your timetable. Here we give a funny but informative talk about the ferret, the history of the ferret to the 21st century and in both appearances for the last 10 minutes or so the audience can "Race the Ferret" - usually the younger members but we do have a 100cm pipe for adults if they want a go ! Fun and laughter for all.

2) New for '23 is the Mediaeval Warrener Re-enactment. This is where we dress up in 11th-13th C costumes and talk to the public of how the ferret came to be used in this country plus all the other facts as in our Roadshow. We usually have an arena by the side of the marquee which is our "warren" where the younger members have a go at racing the ferret pretending to be the rabbits. We also do handling. There are information boards with pictures of tapestry, illuminated pages, etc. that feature the ferret & ferreting throughout history.
We can do 2 arena displays instead of the stand side arena if you wished.

We have full PLI to £5m including handling, Employers Liabilty to £10m, Full Animal Activities Licence, Risk Assessments and Animal Transporters Licence.
